This park is way overpriced for what is available. The only thing this campground had going for it was a decent looking pool which closed on Labor Day. Wi-Fi was available at a location near the office. About 90-95% of the sites were extended stay and the sites available to transients were difficult to maneuver into due to trees and other obstacles. Roads were paved and the sites were all sand or gravel, no grass. The park was not clean as there was litter in the site we occupied and the two adjacent sites. Upon arrival, we had to dump our tanks. The site had a connection which consisted of an 8 foot length of PVC pipe on an incline to the point where it entered the ground. When I dumped the tanks, a fair amount of waste leaked onto the ground from the elbow connection that entered the ground. I notified maintenance and was told that the system consisted of a pit that serviced 4 sites and another site had most likely recently dumped their tank and the system was overloaded. To minimize the problem, I was told to leave the waste valve slightly open during the extent of my stay. The aroma of waste was detectable for the 2 days of our stay. Needless to say, we will not return to this campground.
A very nice campground located about 5 miles from the interstate. Sites were shady, clean and level. New owners are slowly upgrading all facilities to make this a well rated facility. Will return here in the future.
We stayed at Headquarters Campground. It's very convenient to Alma, NB. You easily walk there to view the bay or to eat. Many hiking trails are available from the campground or within easy driving distance. The sites were level, shady and the grounds were clean. It is very quiet and relaxing. We would return again.
Best campground to view the high and low tide at the Hopewell Rocks whose entrance is only one mile away. Location of hookups are confusing, requiring some units to back in and others to pull forward into site. Sites were generally level but not well defined. On our last night, the electric service in the area, as well as the water service at the campground, went out for over 12 hours due to a storm. Also, we were unable to connect to the Wi-Fi at anytime during our stay.
Good location to explore the area around Stowe. Side by side hook ups with adequate room. Not much in the way of trees for shade but sites are generally grass and reasonably level. Well cared for but not fancy. We would camp here again.
A very nice campground west of Bangor. This place had a fresh clean look. Quiet location several miles from highway noise. Gravel sites were fairly level. Would stay here again.
We echo the comments made by others regarding this campground. Clean, well maintained park that is a good place to stay for exploring Amish country of Ohio. The indoor pool, with a sliding roof, was great. Would definitely stay here again.
Very nice campground, close to Ausable Chasm, Lake Champlain, and other local attractions. Quiet location near interstate but free of highway noise. Gravel sites were level, some with large pine and oak trees for shade. Neat and clean campground. Would stay here again.
